Venisha is a family lawyer and she has been practising for more than 25 years. She was previously head of the family law team at her own firm and most recently, she was a partner in the London team of family lawyers at Slater & Gordon.

Venisha has a wide range of experience and believes that each client should have one lawyer who can deal with everything for them, from divorce and finances to children. Venisha deals with a broad spectrum of clients from directors of companies to the self-employed to employees to homemakers.

Whether a marriage or civil partnership has broken down or an unmarried couple want to separate, Venisha can assist with finances, and arrangements relating to children. Venisha is an avid supporter of alternative dispute resolution such as arbitration, private FDRs and mediation. Often, these alternatives are tailormade to each family and can be more cost effective than court process.

At the other end of the spectrum, Venisha can also advise you about taking protective measures, such as pre-nuptial or post-nuptial agreements, as well as cohabitation agreements and declarations of trust.

Venisha would describe her approach as firm and direct, yet approachable. She believes in going the extra mile for her clients and believes that the key to working well with them is to have an eye on what they ultimately want to achieve. Venisha believes it is important to keep this at the heart of everything she does.
