Threat Advisory & Consulting Associate

Laura is a threat advisory and consulting associate at Another Day; a risk, security and investigations company based in London and the Middle East. Laura has global experience, particularly in the Middle East and East Asia and helps our clients understand how the external security environment could affect their business, and facilitates major strategic intelligence analysis and security programmes.

Laura was formerly a research associate at the International Centre for the Study of Radicalisation (ICSR) and the Quilliam Foundation in London carrying out projects analysing the methods and motivations of foreign fighters, with a particular focus on Iraq and Syria, in support of government & other public sector initiatives using open source and social media intelligence.

Laura was also an analyst for a multinational consulting firm with a focus on Libya and has conducted extensive academic and consulting analysis of the oil and gas industry in North Africa. Laura has an MA in Terrorism & Security from the department of War Studies at King’s College London.

As well as being a keen Arabist, Laura has wide ranging east Asia experience following academic stints at both East China Normal University in Shanghai and Zhejiang University in Hangzhou studying Chinese Marketing and Mandarin.
